The National Agency for Protection of Competition was created by the Parliament Decision Nr. 21-XVI from 16.02.07, in order to promote the state policy in the field of the protection of competition, in order to limit and suppress the anti-competitive activity of economic entities and public administration authorities, as well as to exercise control over the implementation of the Law on the Protection of Competition.
The role of NAPC consists in the following:
a) to promote the state policy in the field of the protection of competition;
b) to prevent, limit and suppress anti-competitive activity;
c) the state control over the observance of the Law on the Protection of Competition and advertising.
